SUCCESS STORIES

Kannon Success Story

My name is Kannon and I am twenty-two years old. I started playing flute at age eleven, and then gradually started to introduce new instruments like saxophone, violin and piccolo. I am taking private lessons from Sunrise Music Center with Mr. Don for the woodwinds and Mr. Dan for the violin.

I've been a musician for more than half of my life now. Music is so important to me fundamentally, emotionally, and creatively. It allows me to express myself in ways I didn't think. were possible.

Music is a universal language that can help bring people together by portraying all types of emotions from joy to sorrow. It has helped me meet some incredible musicians, bonding over our passion for the art to create friendships and a deeper relationship.

Music is so widely unique to the individual as it allows you to express yourself through different genres. Classical, jazz, and marching band, are quite different from pop, rock, and hip hop but equally help people come together and understand each other.

Creative freedom is important; we tend to gravitate towards the music we enjoy most, which helps increase our passion for music. Music is more than just a hobby for me - it is an essential part of my life and something I cannot go without.
